For those of you who did not make ELC this year you missed a terrific, if not the best ever, event. There were 218 government executives in attendance, a new record, terrific weather for the social events on Sunday, great plenary speakers in David Walker, Charlie Cook, Amy Holmes and a great debate between advisors from the two presidential campaigns.
Congratulations to all the award winners and expecially to the absent (in her room working) Mendenhall winner Deirdre Lee. Dee was embarrassed as she left the dining room to go work on her first proposal for the private sector. Dee was heard to say, "I don't know how you guys do these proposals all the time!"
Williamsburg was terrific in the Fall with weather that expect for the rain Monday night allowed outdoor socializing until the wee hours of the night.
Save the date for 2009!
